What courses do we offer?
Level 1 Award in Introduction to Mental Health in the Workplace
Throughout this half day course, learners will be introduced to mental health issues such as depression and suicide and build an understanding of stress.
Topics covered include: An introduction to the use of appropriate language when supporting others and the importance of self-care as a tool to potentially improve mental health.
Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work
During this 1 day course, learners will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations, including: managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, choking, shock, wounds and bleeding and minor injuries. Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
During this 1 day course, learners will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations, including: managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, choking, shock, wounds and bleeding and minor injuries. Level 3 Award in BLS, AED and Management of Anaphylaxis for Adults, Children and Infants
This qualification has been designed for people who have a specific interest or responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities, to provide adult, child or infant BLS, safely use an AED and provide management of anaphylaxis.
Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work
Over a 3 day period, learners will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of first aid situations, including: assessing an incident, managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, heart attacks, choking, head and spinal injuries, fractures, anaphylaxis and more. Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care
Among the first to arrive at a scene, first responders typically include police officers, firefighters, and those providing medical cover at festivals and events such as Emergency/Community First Responders, Door Supervisors, Close Protection Operatives and Security Guards as well as those working in high risk environments including the military, power stations, agriculture and manufacturing.
FREC® 3 meets the staffing requirements detailed in the ‘Purple Guide’ for Health, Safety, and Welfare at Outdoor Events and is the only Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCS Ed) – Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care (FPHC) endorsed qualification listed in the ‘Purple Guide’ at PHEM D. It also adheres to the standards agreed by the First Aid Awarding Organisation Forum (FAAOF) and the Health and Safety Executive for first aid qualifications.
The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) covers: administration of emergency oxygen, management of trauma patients, major illnesses and much more.
Ideal for those providing event medical cover or roles such as door supervisors, close protection operatives and security guards, as well as those working in high-risk environments including the military, power stations, offshore renewable energy, agriculture and manufacturing settings.
